Volunteer – Together, we tin solve hunger!
We simply could not practice what we do without the help of volunteers! Whether you can volunteer once a week, in one case a month or once a yr; individually or with a group of friends, family unit or colleagues, whatever your commitment, every 60 minutes of assistance helps united states ensure our hungry neighbors will have access to food in their fourth dimension of need.
Thank you to our volunteers, Northern Illinois Food Bank serves more than half a 1000000 hungry neighbors each yr across 13 counties. Last year, volunteers donated 136,000 hours of their time to help distribute the equivalent of 100 1000000 meals to families, seniors, and kids facing hunger in our community. What y'all do matters!
COVID-xix Update (every bit of May 2022): Northern Illinois Food Depository financial institution continues to have and rely on volunteers at our Centers and food distributions. The Food Bank will continue to operate as nosotros have been during the pandemic with condom measures in place in terms of mitt washing and mask requirements. We go on to monitor CDC guidelines regularly to ensure we are following the very latest COVID prevention recommendations and safety protocols, and will update whatever internal Food Bank policies equally needed.
